Background

On 10 February 2015, PolyU signed an agreement with the The United Nations Office for Disaster Risk Reduction (UNISDR) to develop cooperation and collaboration in promoting risk-informed public policies for risk-resilient development through innovative academic research and knowledge transfer. This joint initiative aims to promote mutual understanding between stakeholders in Hong Kong, including the government, local businesses, charitable organizations, and various institutions, to increase the disaster resilience of Hong Kong and to help strengthen disaster risk reduction in nearby regions.
