Programme Aims
The overall aim of the programme is to offer an opportunity for health care professionals and related disciplines to develop the knowledge, understanding and competencies necessary in order to function effectively, in addition to mastering the advanced use of Information Technology skills in health care settings.
Characteristics
The programme is the first of its kind in Hong Kong and aims to equip health care professionals together with students from health-related disciplines, information technology, engineering or related backgrounds for the advanced use of information technology skills in health care settings. The course contents will address the needs of the health care providers and allow for introduction, re-orientation and/or conversion to a field that is of direct relevance to the student's place of employment.
Programme Structure
Students need to complete 4 compulsory, 2 core and 1 elective subjects plus a dissertation (or students can choose any three subjects from the core/elective subjects of the programme to replace the Dissertation).

Entrance Requirements
Bachelor's degree in either a health-related discipline, information technology, engineering or applied sciences from a recognised university or its equivalent and, preferably, relevant post-qualification experience in health-related services or industries.
